Shipbuilding tools

The tools used in constructing the wooden sailing ships were of a great variety. The ships’ carpenters used a large number of hand-operated tools, similar to those used by ordinary carpenters. In the days of the sailing ships, there were many forges in Galaxidi where the blacksmiths made the metal fittings.
